This document applies to Smart Blur, a browser extension published by Smart Build Labs. By installing or using Smart Blur, you agree to this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service.
Privacy Policy
What Smart Blur does
Smart Blur helps you blur or redact sensitive content on web pages, including optional on-device features that detect certain kinds of information in page text. The extension is designed so that processing happens locally in your browser where possible.
Information we do not collect from you
Smart Blur does not require an account. We do not ask you to sign in to use the extension. We do not operate a cloud service that receives the full contents of your web pages for processing as part of core extension functionality described on our product page.
Data that stays on your device
Settings, blur rules, and related data needed for the extension to work may be stored locally in your browser (for example, via extension storage APIs). This data remains on your device under your browser’s control.
Optional downloads and connectivity
Some features may download models or resources to your device (for example, for on-device AI). Such downloads are intended to support local processing. After any initial download, many features can work without sending your page content to our servers for that processing.
Analytics and tracking
We do not use Smart Blur to track your browsing for advertising. If we ever introduce optional telemetry, we will describe it clearly and, where required, obtain consent.
Third-party services
Your use of websites you visit is governed by those sites’ policies, not ours. Smart Blur does not change how third-party sites collect data from you.
Children
Smart Blur is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not use the extension if you are not old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” indication on this page (or the published date) will reflect material changes. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Terms of Service
License to use
Subject to these terms, Smart Build Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Smart Blur in accordance with its documentation and the Chrome Web Store listing.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Smart Blur, including by attempting to interfere with the extension’s security, reverse engineer it to circumvent technical limitations in violation of applicable law, or use it for unlawful purposes.
Disclaimers
Smart Blur is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the extension will prevent every disclosure of sensitive information or that it will be error-free. You are responsible for how you use the extension and for verifying that redaction meets your needs (especially in regulated or high-risk contexts).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart Build Labs and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Smart Blur.
Pro and paid features
If you purchase optional paid features, additional terms may be presented at the point of purchase (including refund and license scope). In case of conflict, those purchase terms govern only the transaction described there.
Termination
You may stop using Smart Blur at any time by removing the extension. We may stop offering or updating the extension; if we do, your local data may remain in your browser until you remove it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your primary place of business or residence as determined by Smart Build Labs’ policies in effect at the time, except where mandatory consumer protections apply in your country.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms of Service. Continued use of Smart Blur after the updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.
